Lifestyle Advice & Dietetics

One of the most powerful ways we can help to improve our well-being is to make appropriate changes to our lifestyle. Lifestyle includes our level of activity – how much we work, rest, and exercise. It also is concerned with the conditions in which we conduct these activities, and how these affect us.

Lifestyle changes offer a way in which we can help ourselves. At The Women’s Clinic, your practitioner will work with you to identify ways in which you can care for yourself, to help you attain - and maintain - better health.

For many women, eating appropriately is a problem. At The Women’s Clinic, you can be helped to develop appropriate eating patterns.

A fundamental principal of Chinese medicine is that idea that ‘we are what we eat’. The quality of our 'qi' is directly related to the quality of the food we take in. Chinese dietetics looks at the balance and quality of what each individual eats. It also looks at how and in what conditions we eat our food.

The objective is to ensure that each individual gets the optimum nourishment from their food, both through what is eaten and the way it is eaten.
