Patent Herbal Remedies

Patent herbs are a branch of Chinese herbal medicine. They are taken in the form of pills or capsules, and are based on herbal formulae, many of which have been in use for centuries.

Patents are useful in conditions that benefit from daily treatment, and can be used as an adjunct to acupuncture, or on their own. They can be used to treat both acute and chronic conditions.

The patent remedies used at The Women’s Clinic conform to the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. These are an internationally agreed set of principles and procedures that help ensure that herbal products are produced adhering to standards of health, safety, sanitation, and production.

None of the patent remedies used contain endangered species. A very few of the remedies may contain animal products. Where this is a problem (for vegetarians or vegans), alternative remedies may be found.
